Our 4 ensuite budget cabins are fully self-contained. They are air conditioned and have a kitchenette and bathroom. The ensuite budget cabins are similar to the ensuite cabins but are an older style layout and furnishings. Each ensuite budget cabin has a different bedding configuration, catering to individuals, couples, families and friends travelling together. Standard cabin inclusions are: TV, linen, towels and an initial supply of tea and coffee. The kitchenettes have a fridge, stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils and crockery. Our cabins are serviced weekly (for long stays) or on departure. We look forward to seeing you in Weipa.
As cabin guests, you are welcome to make use of our facilities, which includes a swimming pool, playground, coin laundry, on-site café and tour advice and booking service. Please note that Weipa, like other Cape York destinations, can get very busy during peak seasons (May to August) and school holidays. Cabin 1 is spacious and comfortable. It’s equipped with 3 king single beds (2 in a separate bedroom) and is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, roomy ensuite and private undercover patio. Sleeps a maximum of three (3).

Cabin 4 is comfortable and roomy, suitable for couples on a budget. This cabin is equipped with 2 king single beds and is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, roomy ensuite and small private undercover patio. Sleeps a maximum of two (2).

Cabin 5 is perfect for families. This cabin has a queen bed in its own separate bedroom and 2 single beds located in the living room area. This cabin is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, roomy ensuite and private undercover patio. Sleeps a maximum of four (4).

Cabin 11 is also known as the Fisherman’s Shack and is perfect for groups of fishermen on a budget. This cabin is equipped with one double and four king single beds. It’s fully self-contained with a kitchenette, roomy detached ensuite and private undercover patio. Sleeps a maximum of six (6).

Weipa Camping Ground is a great place to stay on your Cape York adventure. Our grassy grounds have established trees and are well maintained, giving guests a nice reprieve from the red dust of the Cape. We have a shaded swimming pool and café on-site for your enjoyment and convenience, and provide a local tour booking and advice service. We highly recommend one of the scenic helicopter flights or heli fishing charters. Please note our cabins are in a shaded part of the grounds, they are not beachfront. If you’d prefer a beachfront location, then we have 4 fully self-contained villas, a beachfront lodge with 5 rooms and a communal living area and a limited number of unpowered camp sites. Please note we do get busy and strongly recommend pre-booking your stay with us, prior to travel.
Please be aware there is limited parking in the accommodation car parks, and generally there is only room for a car. For guests booking with large boats, trucks, trailers etc, please speak with reception to ensure discuss alternative parking options.
